Care for the Okanui's you Wear

It could be said that our Okanui classic shorts, for men & boys, are made of one of the toughest and most durable fabrics around, that being 100% Cotton Drill. But showing your authentic Classic Okanui's a little love means they will last you for years to come. 
Irregularities in shading over time, through wash and wear, are characteristic of the authentic nature of this product, adding to its originality and should in no way be considered a defect.  To prolong the life of your swimwear, we recommend you follow our top care tips:
  • Care Instructions:
Avoid
    • Chlorine as pools and spas treated with harsh chlorine chemicals as this can damage fabric and cause discolouration
    • Salt water as this can weaken the fibers and fade colours
    • Contact with suntan lotionsoils and fake tanning products as they can damage the elasticity and fabric of your swimsuit or discolour
    • Light coloured clothing over wet Okanui Classics as some shades may transfer when wet
  • Washing Instructions
    • It is important not to leave your wet Okanui Classics rolled up inside a towel or store wet
    • Gentle machine wash, separately in cold water, using a mild detergent to preserve the fabric and colour
  • Drying Instructions
    • Drip Air Dry is recommended to avoid shrinkage 
    • Avoid Direct Sunlight to prevent colour fading keep your OKANUI classics out of the direct sunlight when drying
    • Iron Inside Out On Steam Setting & low heat, on the reverse side, to prevent damage to the fabric's surface
    • Store by folding neatly in a cool, dry place or hang to avoid wrinkles

  • Care Instructions: 
Avoid
    • Chlorine as pools and spas treated with harsh chlorine chemicals can damage fabric and cause discolouration; neutralize any residual evidence of chlorine by rinsing in cold water after use
    • Salt water as this can weaken the fibers and fade colours
    • Contact with suntan lotionsoils and fake tanning products as they can damage the elasticity and fabric of your swimsuit or discolour
    • Rough surfaces and jewellery that can snag your swimsuit or cause pilling
    • Light coloured clothing over wet swimwear as some shades may transfer when wet
  • Washing Instructions:
    • It is important not to leave your wet swimsuit rolled up inside a towel or store wet
    • Rinse your swimsuit thoroughly in cold water immediately after use to remove any salt, sand or chemically treated pool water
    • Gentle wash, separately in cold water, using a mild detergent
  • Drying Instructions:
    • Drip air dry flat in the shade and avoid direct sunlight
    • Do not machine wash, wring, bleach, soak, tumble dry, iron or dry clean
  • Please note: 
    • We use the highest quality fabric dyes and colour fasteners available, however we cannot guarantee complete colour fastness on some fashion colours
    • Some colours will fade more than others when exposed to sunlight and chemically treated water
    • Always check the specific care instruction tag on each individual product
