Escaping the everyday in the Whitsundays

With international travel still off the cards, we thought we would provide some travel inspiration from an adventure we took around the Whitsundays.  Travelling is a perfect way to escape the everyday, and with an abundance of places to visit around Australia, we truly are spoilt for choice. 

The Whitsundays are made up of 74 Island wonders, located on the beautiful tropical coast of Queensland. A popular place for sailing, it can be known as one of the best ways to explore all that the Whitsundays has to offer.

Flying into Hamilton Island, we packed up all we could set sail to Hawk Island, Whitehaven Beach, and Bait Reef. Spending a magical 5 days living on crystal clear waters and making friends with the locals, and by locals, we mean turtles, whales (lots of them!), sunfish and reef sharks. You can expect breathtaking sunrises, secluded coves, isolated beaches, snorkelling along the great barrier reef and family BBQs watching the sky turn orange at sunset.

If you are lucky enough to visit the Whitsundays, we can guarantee it will be a trip you will never forget and one we would highly recommend you take at least once in your lifetime.
