Escape to these locations this Summer

When Okanui began back in 1978, it made for people who dream of escaping the everyday and enjoy travel, the ocean, beach, surf and more. Since then have now expanded our brand from the Northern Beaches, Sydney to three other iconic Australian locations. We aren't ones to boast, but we are very grateful that you can now find Okanui stores in Noosa Heads, Burleigh Heads, Manly Beach and Byron Bay. Four picturesque locations that have inspired our journey to escape the everyday, therefore, we want to invite you to visit one of our store locations homes this Summer.  Here is why if you should book your summer trip to one of our store locations beaches this Summer. 

Noosa Heads

Noosa heads has to be the ultimate beach destination, home to most beautiful beaches, world surfing reserve and tropical forests. It's hard to go past Noosa for its top-notch restaurants, cafes, bars and of course Okanui flagship store. First-timers will want to stay close to the action on Hastings Street, but if you're a seasoned traveller to the Sunshine Coast, it's worth checking out the hidden gems of Noosaville.

Burleigh Heads

Situated between Surfers Paradise and laid-back Coolangatta, Burleigh Heads has only recently joined the Okanui store locations.  Famous for pumping surf breaks, towering pine trees and 'to be seen' hip dining, how could we pass up the opportunity to move into town. When visiting, make sure you hit the Burleigh foreshore where you will find a hive of activities including roaming entertainment and, make use of the water's edge barbecues with fresh produce from the farmers' market. 

Manly Beach

With both a harbourside and a glorious ocean beach, Manly Beach located on Sydney's Northern Beaches where the Okanui story began. The surf's good, there are appealing contemporary bars and eateries and, as the gateway to the Northern Beaches, it makes a popular base for the board-riding brigade. There's also some great walking to be done.

Byron Bay

Byron Bay is a unique place; it's a part sleepy coastal town, hippie hangout, backpacker haven and playground for the wealthy, making it an idyllic holiday getaway. Bryon was where we opened our second flagship store on Lawson street, known as the capital of cool, Byron Bay is home to the all-day breakfast with plenty of options to kick start your day with an acai smoothie bowl or the classic avocado on toast.
