Okanui x Larmor Artist Collaboration
Okanui are proud to celebrate our first ever Artist Collaboration with Australian artist and Burleigh local, Erin Larmor.
Okanui and Larmor have collaborated together in creating four unique artworks that represent each of our destinations stores along the east coast; Noosa Heads, Byron Bay, Manly, and Burleigh Heads. These are limited edition and limited stock.Ā
We sat down and got chatting with Larmor on his inspirations behind the collection and where this came from, watch below:
"For me escaping the everyday is catching up with mates in the surf or finding a sneaky beachy somewhere and surfing it by myself. The ocean is a massive part of my creative process. Most, if not all, of my work is inspired by the ocean and the joy it has given me.
My art practice has been called cubist at times but for met he colours I use are used solely to portray the joy of the ocean and I hope that comes across in my work with tones and colour combinations I use. I also enjoy illustrating local and international locations with clean lines using pigment pens. Both styles are close to my heart."
